Trittwerk closes that gap: we engineer fully custom orthopaedic devices for camels, built from a precise cast impression of the individual limb, handcrafted in our Hamburg workshop, and delivered to the Gulf via DHL Express. Growth-phase limb deformities in camel calves: corrective orthoses planned together with the attending veterinarian, adjusted as the animal grows.

Honest note: camel orthopaedics is a young field, and camel anatomy is not horse anatomy. We approach every new indication as a documented pilot project — in close coordination with the attending veterinarian, with defined check-ins and free adjustments. That is how we have built devices for zebras, llamas and other exotic species before: carefully, transparently, case by case.
How a camel case works
- 1 · Case review — You send us the diagnosis, imaging (X-ray/ultrasound) and photos or video of the gait via WhatsApp or email. We assess feasibility and propose a device concept — free of charge.
- 2 · Video consultation — We discuss the concept with your veterinarian: goals, materials, range of motion, training plan compatibility.
- 3 · Impression Kit — We ship the casting kit via DHL Express (3–5 days). Your vet team takes the cast on site — with our live video guidance. For a camel limb this typically takes 45–90 minutes with the animal sedated or well restrained, as your vet decides.
- 4 · Engineering & handcrafting — In Hamburg we build the device on the positive model: 1–2 weeks for most devices.
- 5 · Delivery & follow-up — DHL Express to your stable or clinic. Fitting via video call, defined check-ins, and all adjustments free of charge for the first 6 months — shipping included in pilot cases.
For clinics & stables: pilot partnership
We are actively looking for veterinary partners in the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia for first documented camel cases. Pilot conditions: priority engineering, free adjustments including shipping, and full case documentation you can use in your own clinical work. In return we ask for imaging, follow-up data and — if the owner agrees — the right to document the case. Serious, transparent, vet-led.
Beyond camels — every species in the region
Camels are the headline, but the same engineering serves every animal the region cares about: horses (sport, endurance and leisure — tendon bandages and limb orthoses), donkeys and working equids (robust, repairable devices built for daily use), dogs and cats (CCL braces, wheelchairs, prostheses — including professional working dogs), and livestock and wildlife — goats, sheep, oryx and gazelles in farms, zoos and conservation centres. If it has limbs and a veterinarian, we can take an impression and build for it.
