Racing camels, breeding stock and working animals represent significant value — and orthopaedic conditions that end careers are often treatable. Trittwerk is one of very few workshops worldwide crafting custom limb orthoses, tendon supports and protective devices for camels, engineered from a precise cast impression of the individual animal.
We work veterinarian-to-workshop: your clinic or stable vet provides the diagnosis and takes the impression on site using our kit — we engineer and handcraft the device in Hamburg and ship it back via DHL Express. No travel required, typical turnaround 3–4 weeks door to door.
Camel Programme — for Clinics & Stables
For veterinary clinics, racing stables and camel hospitals in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf region. Pilot cases are planned individually and in close coordination with the attending veterinarian — including video consultation during casting.
You don't need to travel to Hamburg. Our free Impression Kit is shipped to you anywhere in the world. You take the cast impression at home, ship it back to us, and we send you the finished device.

Simply contact us by email at info@trittwerk.com or use our contact form. We speak English and will guide you through the entire process. After confirmation, we ship the free Impression Kit to your address.
Impression Kit delivery: 3–5 business days internationally. After receiving your cast impression back: 1–2 weeks manufacturing time. Return shipping: 3–5 business days. Total: approximately 3–4 weeks from order to delivery.
A diagnosis is very helpful but not strictly required. We can discuss your animal's symptoms and recommend the right device. X-rays, ultrasound reports or vet notes are always welcome.
All adjustments are free of charge for the first 6 months. If a device needs re-fitting within this period, simply ship it back to us — we cover the rework and return shipping.
Yes — we have experience with camels, zebras, llamas, alpacas, donkeys, goats and more. Each case is planned individually with the attending vet. For very large or unusual animals we also offer on-site visits when feasible.
Yes — DHL Express reaches Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Riyadh in 3–5 business days. Shipments are insured and trackable, and we prepare all customs documentation. As an export from Germany, invoicing to non-EU clients is VAT-free.
Camel cases run strictly through the attending veterinarian: we discuss the diagnosis and device concept in a video call, ship the Impression Kit, and your vet team takes the cast on site — with our live guidance if needed. We then engineer and handcraft the device in Hamburg. First cases in a new species are framed openly as pilot projects with close follow-up.
